
About
GUDC, a self-presenting academic dance ensemble where members must be enrolled in the class and can receive academic credit, focuses on technique classes and performances, as well as the development of arts administration, production, and leadership skills. Auditions and acceptance into GUDC are highly competitive. All GUDC members attend two technique classes per week and up to 12 hours per week of rehearsal time. GUDC presents one concert each semester, featuring the choreography of both students and professional guest choreographers.

Performances showcase full works from the year including lighting and costuming

GUDC also performs for the Georgetown community at events on and off campus, including the NAIMUN Conference, Georgetown Day, Hoyathon and even Hoya basketball halftimes at the Capital One Arena.
Dancers can earn 1 credit per semester, up to 4 credits total

Classes are 5:00-8:00 PM Mondays and Wednesdays
Student Choreography rehearsals occur on weekends, ranging 1-3 hours overall.
